Who We Are

Point Pelee and Pelee Island are the heart of our ancestral territory. Caldwell First Nation will exercise its responsibility to use, possess and protect the air, waters, lands and resources as it has from time immemorial. According to customs, the People continue to work in harmony with Mother Earth to preserve, protect, harvest, hunt and fish from the wealth of her resources. That respect continues today.

Vision Statement

A strong sovereign First Nation fighting assimilation and respecting other nations the Creator has placed in our path. Working to build a foundation with other nations, that embraces trust, harmony and honour.

A community living in harmony with all of Creation, maintaining a healthy balance between individual and community needs and working productively with other Indigenous and non-Indigenous governments and communities.

A community addressing the needs of all age groups based on equality.
