Visiting Nurse Practitioner Information

Through a partnership between Caldwell First Nation and SOAHAC, a satellite health clinic was created within Caldwell's Health Department and a SOAHAC Nurse Practitioner and RPN each Thursday and Friday weekly.
Those unfamiliar with this role in the health care system, a Nurse Practitioner can examine patients, diagnose illnesses, provide counselling and education, write prescriptions, order lab tests / draw blood work on site, and refer to specialists when necessary. Nurse Practitioners also work with other members of the healthcare team  including traditional healers, dietitians and social workers to make sure you get the best care possible.
